The Navyug Vidyabhavan Trust
Surat is the most industrialized city in the state of Gujarat today. It is well known all over the world for its diamonds, jari and manmade textiles. Situated on the banks of the river Tapti, it is the fastest growing industrial city in the country. Besides this, it is also fast emerging as the source of dyes, chemicals and intermediates, textile machinery, plastic technology and agro-based industries. This attracts skilled, semiskilled and unskilled workmen from all over the country.
The pace of growth of the city accelerated during the past 60 years and Surat became a dominant center of commercial activity in South Gujarat. This in its wake brought some problems also, mainly in the field of higher education.
The demand for facilities for higher education grew rapidly. It was primarily to correct the imbalance between demands and supply the Navyug Vidyabhavan Trust was founded by Vashi family and later by Late Shri Morarji Desai The Former Honorable Prime Minister of India became President and Shri C.K. Pithawalla became Trustee from dt. 2-5-1990 Shri C.K. Pithawalla became President. The aims and objectives of the Trust are to provide facilities for higher education to students without consideration of caste, community, sex or religion and to undertake research in the exact and social science.
The Trust was registered as Public Education Trust under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 and allotted registration no. 1268.

Over 56 years old now, the trust has in the long period, fulfilled that objective most honourably and is today recognized as an ideally managed educational organization. While it has constantly undertaken a programme of expansion to meet the growing educational needs of the region, it has never compromised in quality.
Location Advantage
The trustee office is shifted to campus of c.k. pithawalla engineering and pharmacy college, of 100 acres land in Malvan which is near to Hazira Industrial area where the companies like ONGC, IOCL, BPCL, RJL, Gujarat Ambuja (the list is endless) are setup there factory, which is one of the added advantage for the higher education institutes. Malvan is just 3 kms from surat international airport. It is well connected to surat, by number of modes of transport are available.
Campus development
The project is divided in to two phases i.e. Phase I and Phase II. Phase I consists of Main Building for conducting classes, Lab Buildings, Administrative Buildings, Utility Stores, Road, Compound Well, Water Reservoir, Over Head Water Tank etc. whereas phase II consists of Library Building, Auditorium, Guest House, Residential Units, Water Treatment Plant, Cricket Stadium & Pavilion, Athletic, Football & Hockey Ground etc.
